The US disappointed that year and finished the tournament labeled as under achievers. Ghana was later bounced out of the tournament by Brazil (3-0). This year it is the remaining pride of Africa against the pride of the US. Ghana is filled with immense amounts of speed and tremendous togetherness, but the US is a bit more experienced as a whole and have the technicians to maybe put themselves into the quarters. It will be an interesting match up between experience versus youth, and speed versus precision.
I honestly believe that the US should be favored, but I suppose that all depends on whether the referee decides to call a fair game or not. In the end I think the two sides will fight hard but I am predicting a 2-1 USA victory on Saturday.
